Ramiro López Yergo owns a funeral home, and controls his wife Teresa and his three children with iron fists. Although Ramiro seems to be a flawless morale, he has a lover, Lilia, and is a corrupt and greedy man. Rafael Estrada is a young man who works at the El Palomar pizzeria and lives with his mother Toñita. They are a family that has come less since the death of his father years ago. One morning Toñita and Rafael prepare to go to receive the cheque of a bank loan in order to open an economic kitchen. The loan is already approved, but Toñita's impatience leads her to request a loan from a usurer, so that she can buy kitchen utensils and thus advance the opening of her business.
