Carlos Fuentes Guillén (born 22 December 1976 in Barcelona) is a Spanish film actor.Carlos Fuentes was born in Barcelona, although he grew up in Hospitalet de Llobregat. Fuentes was discovered as an actor in 1995 in a casual way while walking down the street by Manuel Huerga — the person responsible for the television broadcast of the inaugural ceremony of the 1992 Olympic Games — who chose him as the protagonist of his first feature: Antarctica, a film that earned him the nomination as "Best actor revelation" in the edition of the X edition of the 1996 Goya Awards.
