Tainá and the Guardians of the Amazon is a series of Brazilian animation co-produced by Nickelodeon and Syncrocine Productions, directed by André Forni and Carlos Luzzi with Art Direction by Tom Bernardes, based on the trilogy of films Tainá, initiated with Tainá - An Adventure in the Amazon (2000). The series made a pre-release at Nickelodeon and Nick Jr on December 16, 2018 at 19 hours with two episodes. The animation will make its official debut on January 5, and at Nick Jr. in February with 26 episodes of 11 minutes each. The cartoon was in production since the end of 2016, with the intention of debuting in the second half of 2017 and containing the title of Tainá - The Forest Protector In December 2019, the series debuted in the Band's Animated Summer block, in April 2020, the series premiered in the Netflix streaming service.
