Years 20. A decade in which it seems that the country begins to flourish again after rising from the ashes of the Great War (World War I). Spain has become a country that tries to imitate the rest of Europe by becoming fashionable. At least that was Alfonso Abascal's intention to set up the party room: The Continental. An elegant and a bit pretentious coffee for the time. His owner, Alfonso Abascal, is a determined man, courageous and with clear ideas. He knew that raising such a place after World War I would not be easy. To do so he asked some lenders for help trusting that the improvement of the place would solve the debt. But luck was not on his side and the local did not manage to take off. From that moment begins the drama and tragedy: since he cannot cope with the debt, Alfonso makes a decision that will bring terrible consequences for his life and that of his children, Andrea and Jesus.
