Petra Kleinert (born 6 July 1967 in Jena) is a German actress. Her most well-known role is that of Commissioner Ellen Ludwig in the RTL crime series Doppelter Einsatz. After graduating from school, Kleinert completed an apprenticeship as a ceramic worker. From 1987 to 1990 she attended the theatre school "Hans Otto" in Leipzig. She then completed a two-year internship at the Neues Theater in Halle. From 1991 to 1993 she had an engagement at the Brandenburger Theater. Since 1993 Kleinert played mainly in TV crime. She was among others to be seen as Vera Kowalski in some episodes of the Sperling series as well as in the police call 110, Ein Fall für zwei and in the crime scene. She also had a role in the series Our Teacher Doctor Specht. From 1999 to 2003 she played in the RTL series twice as Ellen Ludwig at the side of Despina Pajanou. From 2008 to 2015 she was to be seen in the series Murder with a view in the rather comical role of the curious policeman wife Heike Schäffer. Since 2013 she has played the role of the moralist Dagmar Schnee in the ZDF series SOKO Leipzig. Petra Kleinert is married to the Austrian actor and clown doctor Reinhold Kammerer. The couple lives alternately in Berlin and Vienna.
