Frank Tarloff (February 4, 1916 - June 25, 1999) wrote nine episodes of The Andy Griffith Show under the pseudonym of David Adler. His film screenplays include Father Goose (for which he won the Academy Award for Best Screenplay) and A Guide for the Married Man.
