Plot.
After supervillain Shredder escapes custody, he joins forces with mad scientist Baxter Stockman and two dimwitted henchmen, Bebop and Rocksteady, to unleash a diabolical plan to take over the world. As the Turtles prepare to take on Shredder and his new crew, they find themselves facing an even greater evil with similar intentions: the notorious Krang.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows is a 2016 American superhero film based on characters created by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird. The sequel to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2014), it is the sixth theatrical Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film and the second and final installment in the reboot series. Directed by Dave Green and written by Josh Appelbaum and André Nemec, the film stars Megan Fox, Will Arnett, Laura Linney, Stephen Amell, Noel Fisher, Jeremy Howard, Pete Ploszek, Alan Ritchson, Tyler Perry, Gary Anthony Williams, Brian Tee, and Sheamus.
Principal photography on the film began on April 27, 2015, in New York City. It was released on June 3, 2016, by Paramount Pictures. The film received generally mixed reviews from critics, with some deeming it a slight improvement over its predecessor. However, it was not financially successful and grossed only $245 million against a $135 million budget, resulting in a planned third film being scrapped. A reboot is being planed.
