Mario is in love with Anna, but her father, who is a brigadier, hinders their love by considering the boy a good for nothing. One evening Mario meets in a club his former flame named Irene: between the two one immediately rekindles the passion. After having wasted with the girl all their savings, Mario turns to the usurer Cesare for a small loan; the man accepts but to Mario's second request tells him of the conditions: Mario will have to drive a truck carrying packets of illegal cigarettes. But the father discovers it and distances Mario from Sister Cesare, taking all the responsibilities by denouncing the man to the question. Later Mario will reapproach with his true love Anna and between the two families will reign peace.
