The underemployed private detective Harry App is commissioned by the old woman Rose to bring her award-winning breeding rabbit Mister Theo to a competition in Switzerland. The seemingly harmless order develops self-dynamics when two thieves disguised as priests come up with the idea of smuggling a stolen painting into Mr. Theo's cage across the border. The attractive Jane, who repeatedly crosses Harry's path, creates additional confusion.
