A 2003 German film called Waste deine Jugend plays in the late punk scene. Tom, Robert, and Jessica are actors. The film title is taken from a documentary novel by Jrgen Teipels, published in 2001, but shows little similarities to his contemporary book draft. Waste your youth is a song by the Dsseldorf-based band Deutsch-Amerikanische Freundschaft.
