Plot.

The Marquise Ippolito, a mature man, separated from his wife, returns after many years to his villa in the countryside, administered by a childhood friend. Here he meets Silvia, the young daughter of the friend who falls in love with the Marquise to the point of asking him to marry her despite the difference of age. Ippolito remains troubled by the revelation and tries to dissuade the girl, but finally, intrusive of her youth, he manages to obtain from her father the consent for the marriage. While fervaging the preparations, his three children who lived in college and who immediately fraternize with the future bride, their peers. In a comparison between her daughter and the fiancée, Ippolito has for a moment the feeling of having to confuse the two different affections for the two women; tormented, from this nightmare and also conscious of her age, giving up the marriage.

Disturbance (Italian: Turbamento) is a 1942 Italian drama film directed by Guido Brignone and starring Renzo Ricci, Mariella Lotti and Luisella Beghi. It was shot at the Cinecittà Studios in Rome. The film's sets were designed by the art director Guido Fiorini.
