Plot.
Based on the life of former Indian women's cricket team captain, Mithali Raj, the film chronicles her story from childhood when she was mocked by everyone for choosing cricket except her coach to defying odds and becoming one of the greatest batters in the world. Shabaash Mithu is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language biographical sports drama film directed by Srijit Mukherji and produced by Viacom18 Studios. The film based on the life of former Test and ODI captain of the India women's national cricket team, Mithali Raj, stars Taapsee Pannu in titular role. It chronicles ups and downs and moments of glory of Mithali’s life. The film is scheduled to release on 15 July 2022.
