The film is co-produced by Inca Cine, Laguna Productions and ICAIC. The film's script won the Carolina Foundation scholarship in Spain. In addition, it was selected for the Ibero-American Co-production Forums in Huelva, Spain, and Guadalajara, Mexico. It won the Ibermedia for production and the Conacine post-production award. The film is a first-time Peruvian opera by Peruvian film director Andrés Cotler. It is starring Pietro Sibille, Monica Sánchez, Marcello Rivera and Eduardo Cesti.
