The Sadness (Chinese: 哭悲; pinyin: Kū Bēi; lit. 'Cry Sad') is a 2021 Taiwanese body horror film written, edited and directed by Rob Jabbaz who from Canada, produced by Machi Xcelsior Studios. It is feature film scriptwriting, editing and directorial debuts for Jabbaz who Canadian filmmaker and also an animator. The film depicts a couple played by Berant Zhu and Regina Lei who attempt to reunite amidst a viral pandemic that turns people into homicidal maniacs.The film is received a theatrical release in Taiwan on 22 January 2021, premiered internationally at the 74th Locarno International Film Festival in Switzerland on 12 August 2021.
