He documents the misguided nature of a Nazi-Initiated and authorized Jewish escape company from Austria, starting in 1940, via the Danube, the Mediterranean Sea, and the steamship Atlantic. Palestine was the original destination. The fleeing people were denied a stay in Palestine.
