The band Dreiviertelblut around the two musicians Gerd Baumann and Sebastian Horn appears first of all as a Bavarian phenomenon: It is sung in dialect, and mostly the three-quarter time sets the rhythm, similar to classical Bavarian folk music. At second glance, however, it quickly becomes clear that this band has nothing to do with folklore and festival tent music.
