Plot.
To impress Silvia, the ice cream seller Righetto sells himself to Filippo Morris, actor of photo-romanzi, even "higher" than the very popular Bob D'Alba: not only the deception is soon revealed, but Silvia is chosen to play a photo-romanzo right with D'Alba, set in the villa where the actor also brings in four thieves who blackmail him. Righetto, however, does not surrender, and he also presents himself at the villa.
