Plot.
In the Renaissance Rome, the mercenary Strozzi killed banker Chigi who refused him the hand of his daughter Berta, Giuliano's girlfriend of 'Medici, brother of Cardinal Giovanni. Instead, young Julian was accused of the crime, arrested and imprisoned pending his trial.
