Enrico Maria Salerno embodies a mür older man of the upper class who tries to find himself. He decides to write a book but needs the right inspiration. He hires a call girl of the Senta Berger class, a former stripper and a former prostitute, to travel with him, convinced that by trying to understand a "true" person only then he can understand himself.
