Plot.

Directed by French author Geroges Perec, Les Lieux d'une fugue is an autobiographical account of the writer's experience of running away from his aunt's house at age 11. As much a meditation on the streets of Paris as it is personal narrative, Les Lieux d'une fugue examines how Perec's verbal games play out alongside a movie camera.

Wiki.

In the collection of posthumous texts entitled I was born, there is an autobiographical account of Georges Perec called The places of a flight. In 1965, this news was written. The text relates to the attempt of Georges Perec to escape from his aunt's home when he was eleven years old. The flight allowed the orphan to visit a few metro stations. In this story, the essential thing seems to be to express the deep feeling of loneliness and error experienced by the child, who tries, through various elements of the daily life, to master a tormented consciousness. The news of the flight was the subject of a filmic adaptation by the author. In a sober and distant staging, Georges Perec tries to find the places of his childhood escape. Almost all of the soundtrack of the film is composed of the text of the short autobiographical narrative. The short film was made in 1978. The voice-off is made by a man. The film was financed by an order from L'INA and can be found in the catalogue of the INA.
