Plot.
On September 12, 2004, just two-and-a-half days before Johnny Ramone's death, a group of musicians and friends-among them Deborah Harry, The Dickies, X, Eddie Vedder, and The Red Hot Chili Peppers-staged a benefit concert to celebrate The Ramones' 30th anniversary and to raise money for cancer research. Too Tough to Die: a Tribute to Johnny Ramone is a 2006 documentary film on the punk band Ramones, composed of a recording of 12 September 2004 at the Avalon in Los Angeles, on the occasion of the tribute concert to the band held for the thirtieth anniversary of its founding and hosted by Rob Zombie, an interview with guitarist Johnny Ramone and another recording made during the ceremony in which the cenotaph dedicated to him was shown to the public at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery.It was published on DVD as of November 4, 2008, which also presents a comment to the concert by Linda Ramone, wife of Johnny Ramone, and others.
