Commissioner Chessari is sent to direct a police detachment to the extreme periphery of Rome, a temporary station in a hot zone with few means and few men. His deputy, Lorenzo Corsi, who has just left the Academy, encounters the corrupt and distorted reality of real life. The small police station seems to be a frontier outpost, his men, a group of loose dogs, do not stop in front of the rules imposed by power, even reaching the limit of legality.
