The librettist Linda Valore wants to make the musical event "Peon Messias" the great success of the Salzburg Festival. The rehearsals only began when the tenor canceled and the Festival director distanced himself from the performance. The catalyst for this catastrophe is Frank Leroux, the KOmponist. He constantly changes his work, insults the tenor as an incapacitated backyard singer and attacks the conductor Alexander von Berkin with his jealousy. It is Linda Valore who pulls the rudder around not to let the project die. Day and night will be rehearsed in Klesheim Castle, the starter Carlo del Monti will be hired and Frank Laroux will be introduced to a sanatorium because of his alcohol problem. The premiere of this unique work is imminent, but dramatic confrontations are endangering the premiere. Again, it is the gifted composer Frank Laroux, who considers his work to be worthless garbage, who is eaten by doubt.
