Plot.
Friedl Meier, hostess of the Hotel Edelweiss, is to inherit a five-digit dollar amount. However, since the inheritance certificate is issued on Meyer with "y" she has to contact her former fiancée Ferdinand Meyer, who slept the wedding date 19 years ago. Her daughter Maresi then starts a big search for her father, who is on holiday in the neighboring hotel "Almenrausch".

It is part of the postwar tradition of Heimatfilm.The film's sets were designed by the art director Felix Smetana. Location shooting took place in Bavaria, Upper Austria and Switzerland.
