Plot.
Los Buscadores tells the story of Manu, a young paperboy who lives in the Chacarita neighborhood. He receives an old map, a gift from his grandfather, and embarks on the adventure of finding a treasure called "Plata Yvyguy", gold and jewels buried by families in Paraguay's 1864-70 War of the Triple Alianza.

The Gold Seekers (Spanish: Los Buscadores) is a 2017 Paraguayan adventure comedy film directed by Juan Carlos Maneglia and Tana Schembori. It is the follow-up to their 2012 film 7 Boxes. It was selected as the Paraguayan entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 90th Academy Awards, but it was not nominated.
