Plot.
Darkness is moving in, and young exorcist Allen Walker is humanity’s greatest hope against the wicked forces conspiring to bring civilization to its knees. Akuma – cruel spirits born of tragedy and lost souls – lurk in every shadow, willing and eager to do the bidding of their leader, the dread Millennium Earl. With an eye cursed to see evil in its truest form and blessed with an arm to slay soul-devouring demons, Allen stands ready to confront the gathering evil. D.Gray-man is a Japanese anime television series is based on the manga series of the same name by Katsura Hoshino. Set in an alternate 19th century, it tells the story of a young Allen Walker, who joins an organization of exorcists named the Black Order. They use an ancient substance, Innocence, to combat a man known as the Millennium Earl and his demonic army of Akuma who intend to destroy humanity.
The series was produced by TMS Entertainment and broadcast for 103 episodes on TV Tokyo from October 2006 to September 2008. A 13-episode sequel series, D.Gray-man Hallow, also produced by TMS Entertainment aired from July to September 2016.
