Antonio Russo is a small Neapolitan entrepreneur whose company has failed because he has lost a rigged contract competition. In order to pay his daughter's master in the United States, he and his wife Daniela find work as waiters at Simone Santoro, a Roman facendier who lives in a village with her fiancée Lori and feeds a corruption round that has as primary interlocutor an honourable Apulian manned with organized crime.
