Biography
William M. Newell (January 6, 1894 – February 21, 1967) was an American film actor. Newell was most active in the 1930s, familiar to fans of the Our Gang short subjects in his recurring role as Alfalfa's father, and as Dr. Henley on Our Miss Brooks. He died in 1967 in Studio City, Los Angeles and is interred at the Westwood Village Memorial Park Cemetery.
