Plot.
Set during the reigns of the last five kings of the Capetian dynasty and the first two kings of the House of Valois, Tha Accursed Kings begins as the French King Philip the Fair, already surrounded by scandal and intrigue, brings a curse upon his family when he persecutes the Knights Templar. The succession of monarchs that follows leads France and England to the Hundred Years' War.

Les Rois maudits is a French mini-series in six episodes of 102 minutes, produced by Claude Barma after the adaptation by Marcel Jullian of the work of Maurice Druon. This series was broadcast between December 21, 1972 and January 24, 1973 on the second channel of the ORTF, and then re-broadcasted in particular on Antenne 2 in the ephemeral "Télé-club" by Jean-Marie Cavada or William Leymergie, before FR3 during the summer of 1990, in favour of a whole summer of homage anniversary to the most beautiful hours of French television, presented in particular by Pierre Chernia.
